Candidate Submissions: Mayor, Council and School Trustee

Published September 18, 2026 · DCC Now

Delta voters elect one mayor, six councillors and seven school trustees on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Nominations closed September 11. About 41 people are on the ballot.

DCC Now is opening a candidate-submission desk for Delta first. Any nominated candidate for those three offices may send the same package. We will consider each package under the same terms. Publication is not guaranteed and may be edited for accuracy, clarity and length.

This is not a campaign page and not a résumé dump. It is voter information, presented as submitted, with gaps left visible if a candidate does not answer.

Who may submit

  • Nominated 2026 candidates for Delta mayor, Delta council, or Delta Board of Education trustee
  • Independents and slate candidates on the same form
  • One submission per candidate, sent by the candidate or their named financial agent

How we will handle replies

  • Print what was sent, or a fair shortened version.
  • Label it a candidate submission, not an endorsement.
  • Note unanswered questions as unanswered.
  • Correct errors when shown.
  • Keep advertising separate from whether a submission runs.
