On Dec. 2, 2024, Kruger voted for the citywide recreation levy that funds Winskill, then voted against a second levy and $120 million in borrowing for a North Delta rec center with no site and no cost study. The minutes show both votes. The fight is over what that means.

Community Charter ਅਧੀਨ ਡੈਲਟਾ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ‘ਤੇ 1 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2026 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੁੜ ਵਿਚਾਰ (reconsideration) ਕਰਨਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ Council Code of Conduct ਸਥਾਪਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਸਿਟੀ ਨੇ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ, agenda item, resolution ਜਾਂ minutes ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ reconsideration ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਸਿਟੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ Code of Ethics Policy ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈ।

B.C. ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਲੋੜ ਦੀ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

ਮੇਅਰ George Harvie ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ reconsideration ਲਈ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
